Senior Marketing Consultant

Full-time

Our Perth marketing team is searching for a Senior Marketing Consultant to join our client services team. 

The Senior Marketing Consultant supports and leads the client services team across all aspects of marketing development and execution for our varied clients. As a Senior Marketing Consultant you will help clients identify business objectives and challenges whilst developing new and creative solutions to achieve great results. With your motivation for working with people and hitting targets you will have that get up and go attitude to attract new clients as well as maintaining current relationships.

You will need a strong ability to work autonomously whilst providing support, guidance and mentoring to the marketing consultants within the team.

The consultancy world offers a fast-pace environment perfectly suited to those who like every day to be different and a certain element of spontaneity and unpredictability.  It will not be unusual that you will work on several clients at once, so time management and being organised are essential skills required for this position. 

The key responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide commercially sound marketing advice and solutions to our clients;

  • Manage strategic client relationships;

  • Lead, manage and where required execute marketing campaigns & activities for clients;

  • Conduct Marketing Strategy Workshops for external clients, often at business owner and senior management levels;

  • Multi-tasking and working to tight deadlines to deliver high quality outcomes;

  • Draft quotes, proposals and tenders as required.

Requirements:

  • Degree or post graduate qualifications in Marketing with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience;
  • The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of marketing principles across planning, implementation and reporting stages;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and project management experience;
  • Advanced marketing strategy development, problem solving ability and excellent attention to detail;
  • Experience in development of integrated marketing strategy and planning;
  • Demonstrate service oriented approach, enthusiastic, motivated, positive attitude, good initiative and a self-starter;
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team;
  • Experience in management and development of a marketing team.

The Marketing Consultant supports the client services team across all aspects of marketing development and execution. While you need the ability to work autonomously, in most instances you will work in partnership with one of our senior team members.

Desirable skills and abilities:

  • A demonstrated track record in developing and delivering  communications campaigns or projects that achieve positive outcomes;
  • Exceptional writing skills and experience in drafting newsworthy media releases and marketing copy;
  • An understanding of the local, regional and national media landscape across all mediums, preferably with some existing media relationships;
  • Enthusiasm and experience in managing digital marketing including social media platforms, EDMs and content-managed websites.
  • Ability to manage client contact as required to support the client services team;
  • A high level of computer skills, especially in Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
  • Proficient in prioritising work and strong time-management skills to manage a constantly evolving workload;

  • Developing and managing paid social media campaigns;
  • Knowledge in setting up, managing and optimising campaigns within Adwords
  • Experience in digital marketing, including PPC, Social Media, and Retargeting
  • Google product suite (AdWords, Analytics, YouTube, Google Display Network).  Google certified candidates will be highly regarded
  • Strong marketing copy writing and content development skills;
