The Derby Aboriginal Health Service (DAHS) partnered with Market Creations Agency to design and develop a new website that reflects its identity, services, and connection to community. The DAHS team provided complete creative freedom, enabling us to explore a highly distinctive concept inspired by their staff uniforms. This direction informed a vibrant teal, purple, and green colour palette, resulting in a bold digital presence that immediately stands out and captures attention.

Following the success of the website, DAHS also engaged Market Creations Agency to design their annual report, ensuring a consistent and cohesive visual identity across both digital and print platforms.

The Website Design

We developed a new design direction that moved away from the previous site, instead drawing inspiration from the teal, purple, and green tones found in DAHS’s staff uniforms. This became the foundation for a distinctive, high-contrast design approach, pairing darker backgrounds with brighter colour accents to improve visual clarity and engagement. Cultural elements were woven through the design, including boab tree graphics and circular dot patterns inspired by the DAHS logo. These were applied across key areas of the site to create a consistent visual language that reflects DAHS and strengthens overall brand recognition.

Key Features

The new DAHS website offers a range of engaging features designed to enhance user experience and streamline access to information. A circular image rotator provides a dynamic visual introduction, while colourful alerts and a carousel of services make navigation intuitive and visually appealing. The site also includes a map showcasing the outreach communities DAHS serves, dynamic news feeds, and employment spotlights, creating a comprehensive one-stop shop for online communications and community engagement.

Annual Report

Following the success of the early website design concepts, DAHS entrusted Market Creations Agency with the design of their annual report. We ensured both projects were visually aligned, creating a cohesive identity across digital and print platforms. The annual report project was smooth and successful, resulting in a polished, professional publication that complements the new website design and told the stories of the year gone.
