Yura Yungi

The Yura Yungi Medical Service is an Aboriginal community-controlled health organisation based in Halls Creek, providing vital primary healthcare and aged care services to the local East Kimberley community. The Brief

Yura Yungi sought a digital platform that would promote their programs and services while providing an accessible and informative online experience for clients, staff, and community members. A key component of the project was to also feature Menkawum Ngurra, Yura Yungi’s Elders Residence. Market Creations Agency created an additional design template to give the aged care facility its own dedicated look and feel with unique navigation, layout, and content structure, effectively creating a mini site within the main website.

The Design & Development

The website design embraces a vibrant palette of reds, blues, browns, and yellows, reflecting the colours of the Kimberley region and establishing a refreshed visual style for Yura Yungi Aboriginal Medical Service. Decal graphics drawn from their annual report are used throughout, complemented by local artwork in the footer and team photography that highlights the friendly faces behind the clinic. The result is a warm, culturally grounded, and community-focused online presence that authentically represents Yura Yungi.

The new website delivers a clear, user-friendly experience, making it easy for visitors to access key information. The homepage includes quick links to popular pages, a live news and notices feed, an overview of programs and services, an embedded Facebook feed, opening hours, a jobs board, board and management profiles, and accessibility controls to ensure an inclusive experience for all users.

The Elders Residence

The dedicated Menkawum Ngurra section gives Yura Yungi’s aged care services their own digital hub with bespoke design and tailored content. This area of the site includes its own news and notices feed, jobs board, and information specific to the facility. By establishing a standalone presence, Yura Yungi can shine a spotlight on the important work being done at the Elders Residence while making it easier for families and community members to find information about services and admissions.
