The Design

With access to an incredible library of visual assets, our design team focused on creating a site that puts Capel’s photography and video content front and centre. The homepage opens with a large hero video that immediately immerses visitors in the region’s natural beauty, supported by striking imagery throughout the site. A bold dark green and cream colour palette was chosen to authentically capture the aesthetic of Capel, while image-based backgrounds replace large colour blocks to create a grounded, organic feel that showcases the Shire’s beaches and landscapes.

The Development

Beyond its visual appeal, the site delivers practical functionality to enhance the visitor experience. Content areas promote nearby townsites and popular attractions including Boyanup, Dalyellup, Peppermint Grove Beach, Stratham, and Gelorup. A homepage events calendar makes it easy for visitors to browse what’s on and plan family-friendly activities. Social engagement is encouraged through an integrated Instagram feed showcasing the best #VisitCapel content, while an e-newsletter subscription field in the footer ensures visitors can stay connected and informed about upcoming events and experiences.
