About the client

The Shire Dardanup is a fast growing and forward-thinking community located in the south west of WA. There are many great facilities and attractions in the shire, including picnic areas, parks, reserves, as well as a range of magnificent natural treasures like the Ferguson River Valley and National Parks.

With a mix of rural and developing urban areas, the Shire of Dardanup is committed to promoting growth and creating a thriving place to live and invest in.

Stakeholder Engagement

Market Creations Agency worked with the Shire of Dardanup to understand their needs and requirements by undergoing a stakeholder engagement process with the Shire staff and Councillors.

The stakeholder engagement process consisted of two workshops, one with the Council members and the other with key administration and department Shire staff. Additionally, an online survey was developed and shared with all internal staff to gather feedback. Insights generated from this process helped to inform the design and information structure of the Shire of Dardanup’s corporate website.

Dardanup Website

The Shire of Dardanup wanted a new website that represents their vibrant community and showcased the Shire as a desirable location to live, work, and play in. The website also needed to serve the community as a gateway to information and services including online payments, bushfires, events, waste management, latest news, and events.

The design of the new website incorporates a fresh and contemporary look with improved functionality to elevate the user experience. New features of the website include a Directory, Near Me map, Accessibility Tools, and an intuitive Mega Menu.

Eaton Recreation Centre

We also worked with the Shire of Dardanup to give their Eaton Recreation Centre website a modern makeover. The updated design makes for a compelling website that showcases the excellent sporting and fitness facility as well as promotes their memberships. The website also features a dynamic and interactive timetable to display their upcoming fitness classes and sessions.

The project was delivered in just under three months with all websites launched with a refreshed design, enhanced user experience, and improved administration efficiency. Each landing page features its own brand and style elements, whilst adhering to the Shire’s overarching corporate style to ensure cohesiveness.

The Shire of Dardanup is thrilled with the result of their new websites and enjoyed working with Market Creations Agency.

“This was a project of epic proportions and one that I am very grateful to have been co-piloting with such a great team at Market Creations Agency.

I’ve appreciated the project team’s optimism, responsive collaboration, and practical wisdom have been integral to the success of this project, so we want to thank everyone for their dedication.”

- Renae Randall, Grants Officer

“Market Creations Agency’s extensive experience in delivering websites for local government resulted in them demonstrating a deep understanding of what was required for a website that effectively serves the community.

Our previous website was launched back in 2014 and after 8 years, a vast degree of improvement had occurred in website technology and design. Market Creations Agency has been very attentive to the needs of strengthening the website and making the upgrade a smooth transition.

The new website is designed to appeal to the residents, visitors, businesses, and investors into our flourishing community. It also offers expanded capabilities for users to find information easily and access online services. We are very pleased with the outcome of the project.”

- Mick Bennett, Shire President
