The Design

The new site design embraces a fun and playful artistic style, featuring bold typography and colourful motifs inspired by the region’s flora. Strategic content areas strike a balance between promoting Narembeen as a destination and providing essential council and community information for residents. The design draws creative inspiration from the Shire’s brand colours—maroons, yellows, greens, and blues—reflecting wildflower trails, farming landscapes, and the vibrancy of local history and events. This approach creates a visual identity that feels distinctly Narembeen while delivering a modern, engaging user experience.

The Development

The refreshed website introduces a range of dynamic features designed to enhance usability and engagement. A striking hero image rotator sets the tone, while quick links provide easy access to popular pages. Tourism-focused content areas showcase the many attractions and experiences the region offers, complemented by a latest news feed and an integrated homepage events calendar. Visitors can also explore a detailed overview of Narembeen, complete with a regional map and nearby attractions.

Staying Connected

The new website places a strong emphasis on community connection by integrating three social media feeds directly into the homepage: the Shire’s official Facebook page, the Narembeen Community Resource Centre (CRC) Facebook page, and the Visit Narembeen Instagram feed. This feature ensures residents and visitors can stay up to date with the latest news, events, and community updates in real time.
