In 2025, the Town re-engaged Market Creations Agency to deliver a complete refresh of its corporate website and introduce a modern digital hub for community and council information. The goal was to create a platform that reflects Port Hedland’s identity as a vibrant town while providing residents, businesses, and visitors with easy access to essential services and updates.

The design draws inspiration from the Town of Port Hedland logo, using block sections and triangular elements to create sharp, eye-catching visuals that remain true to the brand identity. A vibrant colour palette of teal, navy, and orange adds energy and contrast, while subtle accent colours throughout the site make key content areas pop. The result is a clean, contemporary design that balances functionality with visual appeal.

The Development

The new homepage delivers everything you’d expect from a modern corporate council website. It opens with a full-width hero image rotator showcasing the sights and character of this iconic port region. Below, a quick links section—strategically informed by Google Analytics data—provides instant access to the most visited pages.

Dynamic content areas allow users to browse the latest news, public notices, and community consultations through the Have Your Say portal. Employment opportunities are prominently featured, recognising Port Hedland’s transient workforce and the importance of attracting talent. The homepage also includes dedicated sections for major community facilities such as the Matt Dann Theatre & Cinema and the Port Hedland Leisure Centre, linking directly to their standalone websites, which were also developed by Market Creations Agency.

Social Media Focus
