Website Design
The design concept draws from the Tiwi Islands Regional Council’s brand colour palette and pays homage to the culture of the region through the inclusion of certain design elements and local language and Tiwi greeting warmly invites users to the page. The layout is a clean design that kept a simple focus on the information with an inviting content area designated for the four islands that make up the region. The overall result was an easy to navigate page for residents and tourists to view with fresh, island appeal.

Website Development
The website leverages a streamlined approach, focusing on easy to find news and event items.
It was important to feature the individual islands, prominent and engaging imagery was included to allow quick access to the content pages focused on
the individual island.

Modules and Functionality
To offer their residents the best functionality for their needs and allowing the website to become the central hub for all things Tiwi Islands, the Tiwi Islands Regional Council opted to include several modules to their new CouncilConnect website. The Employment module allows residents to become connected with employment opportunities across the four islands. The Quick Links Manager will allow the Shire to manage the quick links on the homepage, ensuring that the most important and readily accessed content is always up to date for residents, maintaining their streamlined website experience.
