The Shire of Waroona has been a proud member of our CouncilConnect program since 2013. In 2025, the Shire engaged Market Creations Agency to deliver a complete tourism solution: a new brand identity, supporting collateral, and a standalone tourism website designed to showcase Waroona’s unique “waters to wilderness” experience. The goal was to create an interactive and engaging platform that allows visitors to explore everything to see, do, and taste in Waroona.

Brand Development

Our creative journey began with the development of Waroona’s new tourism brand. Inspired by the theme of water to wilderness, we explored a series of logo concepts featuring flowing, organic typefaces and dynamic text treatments. The final design integrates colours and iconography drawn directly from the region’s lakes and landmarks, paired with a rustic, organic font and a custom logo graphic inspired by the natural shapes of Lake Navarino and Waroona Dam. Our team visited Waroona multiple times to present concepts and collaborate with key stakeholders, ensuring the brand resonated with local identity and pride.

Website Design

With the brand established, MCA translated the visual identity into a standout tourism website at www.visitwaroona.com.au. Positioned as an easy weekend escape just an hour from Perth, the site invites visitors to immerse themselves in Waroona’s natural beauty. The design incorporates Indigenous-inspired artwork and motifs layered over image rotators, creating a sense of cultural depth and authenticity. Featured destinations include Hamel, Drakesbrook Weir, Waroona Dam, Preston Beach, Lake Clifton, and Yalgorup National Park. A rich palette of dark blues, complemented by purples, lighter blues, and greens, delivers a vibrant and adventurous aesthetic that sparks excitement for outdoor exploration.

Key Features

The website offers an intuitive experience with a colourful interactive map highlighting distances to nearby centres such as Perth, Mandurah, and Bunbury. It includes sections for discovering hidden gems, local legends, and breathtaking sights, along with options for dining and accommodation. A comprehensive FAQ section ensures visitors have all the information they need, while the live integration of the #VisitWaroona Instagram feed showcases real-time social content from the region, adding a dynamic and engaging element to the site.
