With over 400 members, the KDCCI builds connections, promotes growth, and advocates for local businesses. Supporting the KDCCI for Over 20 Years:

MCA’s relationship with the KDCCI dates back to 2004, when we collaborated on the Pilbara Classies publication. Since then, we have worked on a wide range of projects, including branding, website design, business and community directories, and marketing initiatives. Our deep, long-standing relationship with the KDCCI has provided us with a unique understanding of their goals, challenges, and the broader business landscape in Karratha and the Pilbara region.

Strategic Plan 2022-2025:

In 2022, Market Creations Agency was tasked with developing a comprehensive strategic plan for the KDCCI for the 2022-2025 period. To ensure the plan was informed by relevant stakeholder insights, MCA travelled to Karratha to conduct one-on-one interviews, online surveys, and focus groups with the KDCCI’s board, executive team, staff, and a representative selection of member organisations. The goal was to assess the current state of the KDCCI, identify perceptions of its performance, and highlight areas for improvement.

Strategic Plan 2022-2025 (Continued):

The insights gathered during this engagement process provided a solid foundation for the strategic plan. The outcome was a detailed and actionable document that offered clarity and direction for the KDCCI, with the strategic plan serving as a guide to enhance the Chamber’s services and improve its ability to support local businesses more effectively.

Strategic Plan 2025-2028:

In 2025, MCA was once again called upon to review the progress of the 2022-2025 strategic plan and build the foundation for the next iteration. The review process involved engaging key stakeholders to evaluate whether the original goals and KPIs had been met. Based on this feedback, we identified areas for further improvement and developed a refined strategic plan that would take the KDCCI through to 2028. The updated strategic plan focused on continued growth and adaptation in response to the evolving business environment in Karratha and the broader Pilbara region.

The Outcome:

Our team used our in-depth knowledge of the KDCCI’s operations, gained over 20 years of collaboration, to make recommendations that addressed operational improvements, enhanced marketing and communication strategies, member and staff satisfaction, and greater member engagement. The 2025-2028 strategic plan that we developed has provided the KDCCI with a roadmap for continued growth and success.
